Finally, some music

this is it, i mean it. as you may know, ive been playing in a "band" with connor and his drummer friend brandon (a.k.a brandywine), mostly at connor's girlfriend's church and once at the high school. but of course, we only do covers because i dont write anything and it is easier that way. but we are running out of covers, which is okay because for some reason ive got some big inspiration. following my temporary dip into extreme heartbreak and sadness, im on an upward climb towards self-actualization.

while im still struggling to do so, ive been making attempts to write stuff for the connor/brandon group. with them i envision my real goal, influences of Wilco and Delta Spirit mixed with whatever originality i can bring. finding a band name is hard, as you may have read in my bad band names post. but we will worry about that later.

what is closer to becoming real is my musical project with Katie (previously known as "the cute girl from french class"). after performing once at an open mic in long beach, she is determined to form a duet. and for a little bit i was really excited but i had no idea what direction to take with the music. however, after seeing an amazing show by boris smile last saturday, i know just what i want to do and have started on it. so things are lookin up. stay tuned.
